Blue Holiday
with Rev. Leah Ongiri
December 20, 10:00 AM CST
Holiday cheer can warm us but, if we are experiencing hurt or just not quite in the mood, it can scorch. If you find yourself in danger of being burned this season, you’re not alone! Join us for a special live service (no recording will be made!) of contemplative music, candle lighting, lifting up the names of those we miss and mourn, and acknowledging the fears that grip us. We will emerge better able to accept and balance all we might be holding. If have experienced a significant loss this past year or are currently anticipating one, you are specially invited to attend.
Frederick and the Winter Solstice: An interactive service
with Rev. Christina Leone-Tracy
December 20, 4:00 pm CST
The celebration of the winter solstice– the darkness and return of the light– is a time-honored tradition here at the Fellowship and it will continue this year at 4:00 pm on Zoom. We’ll hear the sweet story of Frederick the mouse and celebrate the winter together.
Our Better Angels — Christmas Eve
with Rev. Christina Leone-Tracy
December 24, 5:00 and 9:00 pm CST
Angels make many appearances in the Christmas story– what might they mean for us today, and what might they be telling us? The 5:00 pm service will be family friendly with interactive elements. The 9:00 pm service will be geared toward adults with time for communion in the tradition of our Transylvanian Unitarian partners.
Pick up bags at the Fellowship with supplies for the services or print this angel from home and have a candle for Silent Night, and if you plan to attend the 9:00 pm service, have bread and wine or juice nearby.
