Our Music Programs
We hope to include everyone who wants to participate in our music ministries. Click the button below to let us know your interest!
- Fellowship Choir is our traditional choir. Members should
be able to read music. The Fellowship Choir rehearses a couple of times each month during our first service and Middle Hour (from 9:30-10:30 am) from September through May. We prepare choral music for Sunday services, when we sing during the 11:00 am service. Questions, or want to get involved? Contact Rick Bjella at rick.bjella@gmail.com.
- Kids Choir Our children will have an opportunity to choose Kids Choir as their Middle Hour Religious Exploration option a few Sundays this year, and will learn and practice a fun song during their 10:00 class, and perform it early in the 11:00 service. - mUUse is a collective of volunteer musicians that prepares
rock, pop, folk, and other styles for the Traditional (11:00) Sunday service approximately once per month. We meet as needed during the week to prepare for Sunday services. Questions, or want to get involved? Contact Dave Strachan at david.s.strachan@gmail.com.
- Guest instrumentalists and ensembles provide instrumental music as needed for hymns and special music in services. Interested in helping? Contact Tam Masters at tam@fvuuf.org.
- Guest pianists and hymn leaders can share their musical voices in leading the congregation. We have a handful of skilled pianists who rotate the role of accompanist, and volunteers who lead the congregation in singing hymns. If you’re willing to help out with accompaniment or hymn leadership, contact Tam Masters at tam@fvuuf.org.
Music Schedule
At 9:00 am during the program year, our accompanist provides music and hymn leadership. At 11:00 am, we have “special music” to support the service. See below for the music schedule, and note that all rehearsals take place during the 10:00 am Middle Hour unless otherwise specified.
