Governing Board

Provide leadership in policy and oversight of the Fellowship’s operations.

If you are selected to be on the slate for election to the board, you will need to complete a criminal background check and confidentiality agreement. Elections for the Board are in early June.

Officer roles have more specific descriptions in addition to the general description.

Audit Committee

Audit the finances and some other operations of the Fellowship on a quarterly basis. Less work on non-audit months, more during the audit.

If you are selected to serve on the Audit Committee, you will need to complete a criminal background check and confidentiality agreement.

Leadership Development Committee

– Help train and recruit leaders for the Fellowship.

The LDC works with our Governing Board and Executive Team to offer leadership classes, events, and offers appreciation to our leaders.

If you are selected to be on the slate for election to the LDC, you will need to complete a criminal background check and confidentiality agreement.

Elections for the LDC are in early June.

JAMS (ESTHER, Green Sanctuary)

Work with a team to further the cause of justice in the community through legislative change (ESTHER) or environmental justice (GS).

Create a new JAM – Determine if there is interest, with staff support, and start a new JAM to work on addressing a justice issue in the community.

UUA Connections

Help connect the Fellowship to what’s going on at a regional or national UU level, recruit and support delegates to regional or national assembly gatherings. Keep track of big announcements or events from the denomination, write articles for the e-newsletter, recruit people to attend General Assembly or Regional Assembly as delegates, and more.

Healthy Congregation Team

Work with the ministers to monitor congregational stress and conflict and provide opportunities for health, communication, and returning to right relationship. If you are selected to serve on the Healthy Congregation Team, you will be required to complete a criminal background check and confidentiality agreement.
