5000 Shades of Green Cash Raffle

Hey! Stop for 25 seconds and think about the answer to this question:
What would YOU do with an extra $5,000?? Or $1,000? or $500?
Bet it didn’t take all 25 seconds to come up with your answer. Perhaps you have a list of answers. AND – everyone you know could use some extra cash.
The 5,000 Shades of Green cash raffle is the Fellowship’s MAJOR fundraiser this year. Beginning December 3 and all during December and January, you can pick up packets of raffle tickets. We ask that you sell tickets to friends, coworkers, family, people on the street . . . Please, share the opportunity to win extra cash with everyone you know! We’re not asking that YOU contribute everything for this fundraiser, though you are, of course, welcome to purchase tickets for your own chance to win. And we know the chance to win some cash makes for a great Holiday gift.
Purchasers have 4 chances to win, with a 1st prize of $5,000, 2nd prize $1,000 and 3rd & 4th prizes of $500 each. Tickets will be available for pick up in the front lobby after services. Tickets will be available in packets of 10 or 5 for pick up in the entry lobby after services to sell to your family and friends. Individual tickets will also be for sale after services and weekdays during the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. After you’ve sold all the tickets ($20/each) just return the ticket stubs and the payments to the same table and get more tickets (if you wish). We’ll provide information about the rules for selling raffle tickets and an envelope for you to easily keep tickets and stubs together. It’s simple – and FUN!
Here’s the twist that should pique the interest of the folks you talk to about this raffle. For the 1st prize in our raffle the Fellowship will pay the withholding taxes so, the winner will TAKE HOME the full $5,000!
The prize drawing for this raffle will happen on Saturday February 10 at 7:00 p.m. here at the Fellowship, (watch for more news about events happening around the drawing) though purchasers need not be present to win.
Spring 2024: Online Auction
Attention crafters, cooks, handypeople, and generous souls of all types! This spring we will be hosting an online auction to connect people at the Fellowship with all the wonderful wares our members and friends have to offer, and to support our Fellowship financially.
As the event gets closer, our Fundraising Team will be soliciting donations. –
We’re looking for:
Crafts: Quilts, homemade stuffed animals or jewelry, artwork, other crafts
Food: Dinners to be made at people’s homes or delivered to their doorstep, fudge, cupcakes, bread, or other baked goods
Services: Are you an electrician or a carpenter? Can you do paint walls, do laundry or mow lawns?
Rentals: Of your cabin up North, your pontoon boat, or something else
…Or other donations are all welcome!
And then, for the week of the auction we need you to create an account on 32auctions.com and BID BID BID. Winners will be contacted once the auction closes.
The Fundraising Team reports to the Generosity & Engagement Ministries. They plan and organize special fundraising events to support our Fellowship’s operating budget, or to fund specific unbudgeted needs of the Fellowship. For example, our 2021 Lights Camera Auction! raised funds to help purchase and install the Audio Visual updates we needed to offer both in-person and virtual connections.
Fundraising is an important and fun way to engage both members of the Fellowship and the surrounding community. This year our congregation’s membership approved a budget with $25,000 income from fundraisers. If we are able to reach that goal, additional funds will go toward specific unbudgeted needs of the congregation.
