Sweet Honey in the Rock sings: “We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it comes.” While this is one of my favorite songs, it sure sets an unreasonable standard about the importance of an empty day of relaxation every once in a while. Come to a service that proclaims that rest is a sacred task. How do we rest in ways that replenish us for the world?
